so i'm sorry i've not been online much recently. i wasn't well this weekend, and spent almost all of it laying on becky's sofa watching series one and two of 'spaced', which i purchased on friday. i also got the funeral for a friend dvd, and donnie darko [the director's cut], which fucking rules.
and so, i knoew this was coming, and i thought i'd be a lot better with it, but tomorrow is one year to the day since samantha left.... i think a lot of it is in my head, but still. it's scary that it's been a year. i can remember everything that happened. i was watching 'a man apart', listening to funeral for a friend, she was wearing blue jeans, and a pink [jumper]. i smashed a lot of picture frames.. the ones with her in, actually..
and i find it strange that i'm still thinking about it. i don't miss her. i don't want her back, i'd quite like to be friends, although she doesn't. perhaps that's it. perhaps not. who knows?
i know that no-one will remember it... or bother. just to apologise for being a mopey bastard tomorrow if i see any of you. i'll do my best to be happy and smiley and stuff. as long as y'all don't mention it. deal? deal. thanks!
i'm regressing to listening to everclear and vanessa carlton because of all this, though, which is a good thing, since i haven't listened to them in a while. if anyone else has the vanessa carlton album, go put it on. it's great.

it's been a while since i listened to radiohead.. the last three albums put me off completely. i absolutely adored them. i got into them properley in july '97 when 'ok computer' came out, and i proceeded, over the following months, to track down every single, e.p., album, video and soundtrack that they had released or been a pert of. it was just before i did the same with the manics, actually. but then when 'kid a' came out, i rushed to pendulum records [r.i.p] on my lunch break from college, and our computer tutor, matt, let me play it in the mac suite. i have never been so embarassed in my life. it was, and still is in my opinion, a turd of an album, and i felt hurt that they could completely disregard the music that had won them so many fans, especially to pursue a route that was completely alien. since then, with the exception of one song on 'kid a' ['how to disappear completely, which i would like played at my funeral, along with 'special needs' by placebo thankyouverymuch], i have hated everything they have recorded. they went from being one of my all-time favourite bands to someone i detested with a passion. i understand change is needed in everything, and i know a lot of people that still love them, but it's really not for me. as far as i'm concerned, a band that i liked called readiohead split up after they released an album in 1997.
the manics was a different thing altogether. i never really went off them, or respescted them less, i just ddidn't really like 'know your enemy', and around that time i started listening to stuff like limp bizkit, and linkin park, and getting back into nin and feeder... i just sorta lost touch with the manics. still visit them occasionally, though, and to this day they still remind me of rewth, as they were the thing that got us together. the mutual love that allowed me to first pluck up the courage to talk to her on the bus. never really loked back after that.
plus, james dean bradfield does an awesome acoustic solo version of wham's 'last christmas', which i have just downloaded.
jeez, since i was bored, i've managed to talk a lot... sorry if anyone's asleep now... just trying to waste time.

well, this week has been a pit poo. i've done nothing. finish work at eleven... do nothing all day except sleep, eat, watch sky or listen to music, then either go to the dog or my sister's [at least going to my sister's i get to do this and download stuff and other niceties, like steal her food n' coffee]
but on a plus note, i've been listening to music that makes me smile a lot: eels, the cure, wallflowers, blink 182... been learning love song by the cure on elizabeth [my sweet, sweet guitar], and i have quit drinking. i decided on sunday morning to stop drinking so heavily and frequently, starting with a two to three week period of complete abstinence. and it's going well. i feel better for it, and i know that my body will definitely appreciate it. so no drinking, also going for the no gambling thing.. hopefully in the next two weeks alone, in doing this, i will save enough money to complete the tattoo on my right arm [the stars], which i'm looking forward to greatly.
